WOOSTER INVITE...
CLEVELAND, OH (December 2, 2006) -
Case Western Reserve University, currently ranked 19th in the country (by CollegeSwimming.com), finished fifth out of 10 teams at the College of Wooster Invite held November 30 – December 2 in Wooster, Ohio. The Spartans finished with 839.50 points and host Wooster won the team title with a score of 1,550.50.
Case junior Lauren Preyss (Chagrin Falls, OH-pictured) set pool records and recorded an NCAA Division III qualifying and provisional time with her victories in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.63) and the 100-yard freestyle (52:05-B cut). Preyss also recorded a provisional qualifying time with a victory in the 50-yard freestyle (24.29) and sophomore Janine Machala (North Olmsted, OH) finished fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:34.61).
Case’s next meet will be January 13 at Carnegie Mellon University.
