ROCHESTER 132, CASE 111 ...
CLEVELAND, OH (January 15, 2005) - This afternoon in the Veale Center, the Case Western Reserve University women's swimming and diving team lost to the University of Rochester in a dual meet 132-111. The meet marked two straight days of swimming and diving competition for the Spartans.
Case won both the 200-yard medley and freestyle relays. Leading the way for Case individually was senior Elaine Hillenmeyer (Carmel, IN) with two first-place finishes in the 200-yard IM and the 100-yard butterfly. Freshman Caitlin Gruenhagen (Wauseon, OH) also claimed a first-place finish with her 1:03.83 time in the 100-yard backstroke. Freshman Elaine Hou (Columbus, IN) also swam well with two second-place finishes in the 1,000-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle.
Also completing the meet with second place finishes were Becca Winarski (Germantown, WI) in the 50-yard freestyle, Lindsey Stahl (Bellbrook, OH) in the 200-yard IM, and Hannah Webber (Oil City, PA) in the 100-yard backstroke.
Case will travel to Granville, Ohio next Friday to take on Denison University in a 6:00 p.m. dual meet. Team Results -- Full Results
