Spartans place sixth at 2008 University Athletic Association Championships...
...Junior Janine Machala represented the Spartans well in the 200-yard breaststroke event, as she touched the wall in 2:28.47, thus recording the third fastest 200-yard breaststroke swim in Case Western Reserve history. Machala was just seconds behind former Spartan’s Susan Beatty and Emily Allegretti. Janine also placed seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.37).
... Gu finished 11th in the 50-yard freestyle at 25.41, which is a Spartan freshman record time for the 50-yard free. Marine was also sixth in the 100-yard freestyle at 54:43 and finished 10th in the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.72)
...Spartan women tallied 791 points over the weekend, while the men, 677. Emory men and women stole the show, as both programs won their 10th consecutive UAA titles.
...Congratulations to seniors' Stahl, Heather Furman and Winarski for four-years full of commitment, hard work and determination.
