CITRUS TOURNAMENT...
CLEVELAND, OH (December 29, 2007) - The Case Western Reserve University wrestling team scored 20.5 points and finished eighth overall at the Citrus Tournament in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The team will compete in the Citrus Duals on Dec. 30.
Senior Nate Klingensmith (157; Uniontown, PA – pictured) was seeded second overall in his weight class and won his opening round match against Seth Ching by a 11-7 decision. Klingensmith then grappled his way to a pin-fall in 1:41 over John Whitman. Klingensmith finished 2-3 on the day and finished sixth in his weight class.
Junior BJ Greenman (174; Port Allegheny, PA) was seeded third in his weight class and finished fourth overall. Greenman defeated Gerald Tyler 7-0 in the opening round before notching a 10-2 decision over Nick Shepard in the second round.
The grapplers from John Carroll University won the overall team title, scoring 144.5 total points on the afternoon.
