DUAL AT JOHN CARROLL UNIVERSITY...

CLEVELAND, OH (November 13, 2007) - The Case Western Reserve University wrestling team lost eight out of ten matches this evening, as the Blue Streaks from John Carroll University upended the Spartans, 30-7, in their first dual meet of the season.
The Spartan grapplers battled close in just about every match early on, losing three matches by two points or less, but two late pin-falls by JCU proved to be too much for the Spartans, who fall to 1-3 in dual meets this season.
Senior Nate Klingensmith (157; pictured) got the first win of the night for the Spartans, as the Uniontown, PA native scored a late takedown on JCU's Greg Elliott to put the finishing touches on a 10-2 decision.
Two matches later, junior BJ Greenman (174; Port Allegheny, PA)
followed up Klingensmith's performance by claiming a 3-1 decision over Travis Hammer.
The Spartans will head to Mequon, WI on Saturday (Nov. 17) for the 15th annual Concordia Wrestling Open. Matches are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
