OBERLIN INVITATIONAL...
CLEVELAND, OH (February 24, 2007) - The Spartans traveled to Oberlin College this weekend and had a strong showing at the Oberlin Invitational. Case had two first place finishes, and several other athletes who finished in the top three of their event.
The two first place finishers for the Spartans were freshman Joy Zhu (Chalfont, PA), who finished first in the one-mile run (5.45), and sophomore Sheree Collins (Cleveland, OH), who won the women’s long jump (5.64 meters).
Freshman Whitney Horne (Cleveland, OH), and Senior Emily Bruckner (Fairview, NC-pictured) finished third (27.11) and fourth (27.14) in the 200-meter dash. Junior Rachel Stoneking (Uniontown, OH) was the final Spartan to place in the top three taking third in the high jump (4-08.00).
The Spartans will be action this week at the UAA conference meet at Brandeis University March 2-3.
