ALL-CITY CHAMPIONSHIPS ...
CLEVELAND, OH (February 16, 2007) - Case Western Reserve University freshman Whitney Horne (Cleveland, OH) and junior Esther Erb (Richmond, VA) led the Spartans at the All-City Championships hosted by Baldwin Wallace College Friday night.
Horne (pictured) won the 200-meter dash (26.91) and placed second in the 55-meter dash (7.42), while Erb won the 5,000-meter run (18:51.71) and finished second in the one-mile run (5:03.77).
Case also had a couple big throws at the meet. Freshman Allison Early (Lodi, OH) won the shot put (11.79 meters) and placed third in the weight throw (12.05m). Sophomore Lauren Dudley (Jefferson, OH) won the weight throw with a mark of 12.80 meters.
The Spartans will compete in the Oberlin College Invitational on February 23.
