All-Ohio Championships...
CLEVELAND, OH (February 10, 2007) - Case Western Reserve University women’s indoor track and field team finished fifth out of 18 teams this afternoon at the All-Ohio Championships, held at Otterbein College. The Spartans amassed 45 points, while Otterbein College won the All-Ohio Championships with a score of 86.
Junior Esther Erb (Richmond, VA - pictured) won the 5000-meter run final in a time of 17:26.54 earning 10 points. Erb was the only Spartan to win a race, yet it was not the one mile, whose meet record she holds. Sophomore Kristen Bowhers (Rochester, NY), however, finished fourth in the one-mile run in a time of 5:20.04. Freshman Whitney Horne (Cleveland, OH) finished in fifth place in the 55-meter dash final in a time of 7.53 seconds.
In the field events, Case had two second place finishers. Freshman Allison Early (Lodi, OH) threw the shot put 11.64 meters, while sophomore Lauren Dudley (Jefferson, OH) made 12.87 meters in the weight throw.
Case travels to Baldwin Wallace College in Berea on Friday for the All-City Championships.
