OBERLIN INVITATIONAL...
CLEVELAND, OH (February 10, 2007) - The Case Western Reserve University women’s indoor track and field team finished fourth out of six teams late Friday night at the Oberlin College Invitational. The Spartans tallied 67.50 points. Thiel College won the invite with a score of 138.
Senior Emily Bruckner (Fairview, NC) had a nice meet for the Spartans. Bruckner placed third in the long jump (4.50m) and fourth in the 55-meter dash (7.86). Case freshman Whitney Horne (Cleveland, OH) placed second in the 55 meters with a time of 7.62.
The Spartans also had two third place finishes in the 800- and 3000-meter run. Junior Sarah Gill (Sharpsville, PA-pictured) recorded a time of 2:39.59 in the 800 meters and sophomore Anna Taylor (Westerville, OH) came in at 11:49.04 in the 3000 meters.
Case travels to Otterbein College this afternoon for the 2007 All-Ohio Championships.
