CASE INVITATIONAL...
CLEVELAND, OH (February 2, 2007) - Case Western Reserve University freshman Whitney Horne (Cleveland, OH) won the 55-meter dash and junior Esther Erb (Richmond, VA-pictured) won the 3000-meter run as the Case women’s indoor track and field team took second place (80 points) at the Case Invitational late Friday night in the Veale Center.
Baldwin Wallace won the team title with a score of 97 points. The Spartans will travel to the Oberlin College Invitational on February 9.
Horne posted a time of 7.51 and Erb finished at 10:57.65. Sophomore Lauren von Eckartsberg (Dublin, OH) finished second in the 3000 meters behind Erb with a time of 11:07.30 and sophomore Elizabeth Ehrke (Pewaukee, WI) placed second in the weight throw (12.69m).
The Spartans also won the women’s distance medley (12:53.01).
