SPARTAN RELAYS...
CLEVELAND, OH (January 27, 2007) - The Case Western Reserve University women won the Spartan Relays today in the Veale Center. Case, who had 12 top-five finishes, had 82 points. Walsh University came in second with a score of 75.
Junior Esther Erb (Richmond, VA-pictured) won the 5000 meters with a time of 17:42.39, which is only four seconds off the national qualifying time. Sophomore Kristen Bowhers (Rochester, NY) came in second in the one mile with a time of 5:27.50 and freshman Whitney Horne (Cleveland, OH) had two top-five finishes. Horne placed third in the 200 meters (27.52) and fifth in the 55 meters (7.67).
The Spartans host the Case Invitational Friday at 6:00 pm.
