SPARTAN RELAYS ...
CLEVELAND, OH (January 28, 2006) - Case Western Reserve University sophomore runner Esther Erb-pictured (Richmond, VA) recorded two record breaking performances today in the Veale Center as Case won the Spartan Relays with 83 points.
Erb broke a school record and recorded a NCAA provisional qualifying time in both the 5,000 meter run (17:42.83) and the one mile run (5:03.25). Case actually claimed the top five spots in the mile as freshman Kristen Bowhers (Rochester, NY) placed second with a time of 5:25.40. Bowhers also placed second in the 800 meter run (2:30.28).
The Spartans will host the Case Invitational this Saturday in the Veale Center at 6:00 p.m.
