SPARTAN RELAYS ...
CLEVELAND, OH (January 29, 2005) - This afternoon the Case Western Reserve University women's indoor track team hosted the Spartan Relays held in the Veale Center. As a team, the Case Spartans finished fourth out of the seven competing teams with Walsh University taking home the team first place title.
Individually for Case, junior Harmonie Foster (Bedford Heights, OH) was the lone first place finisher with her top spot in the 400 meter dash in a time of 1:03.20. Finishing second individually for the Spartans were Emily Bruckner (Fairview, NC) in the 200 meter dash (27.84) and Amy Staub (Oil City, PA) with a time of 5:33.30 in the mile run. Also claiming second place finishes were Cassi Armstrong (Cleveland, OH) with a shot put throw of 38'2.75" and Diana Kovacic (Rock Creek, OH) in the weight throw with a toss of 48'1.75".
Case will play host to another indoor track meet this upcoming Friday, February 4 when the Case Invitational kicks off at 6:00 p.m.
