WOMEN'S BASKETBALL—2004

The Spartans wasted no time against the Bulldogs as they jumped out to a commanding 45-25 lead at the end of the first half. The first-half effort allowed Case head coach Jacki Windon a chance to go to her bench as 13 different Case players saw action in the contest.

The Spartans hit eight of 15 (53.3%) three-point field goal attempts while Adrian struggled, making just three of 12 (25.0%) three-point tries. Another key to the victory for Case was their 52-30 rebounding advantage over the Bulldogs.

Leading the Spartans off the bench were Dana Dempsey (Brooklyn, OH) with ten points and Ashley Horton (Akron, OH) with six. Case's Carmen Rowan (Richmond Heights, OH) grabbed a game-high seven rebounds to go along with ten points. The Adrian Bulldogs were led by Thera McCall with 14 points.

With the victory, Case advances to the championship game of the D-3 Desert Shootout to be played tomorrow (December 22) at 5:45 p.m. (PST) against the winner of the Albright versus Wisconsin-Whitewater game.
