Wilmington 92, Case 73

CLEVELAND, OH - Case Western Reserve University senior guard Jasmine Rowan (Richmond Hts., OH), a Hawken graduate, led three Spartans in double digits with 16 points as Case fell to Wilmington College 92-73 at Horsburgh Gymnasium in the Veale Center.
The Spartans shot just 31.6 percent (12-38) from the field in the first half (33.7 percent for the game) and turned the ball over 13 times as they trailed 49-31 at the intermission. Rowan scored nine of her team high 16 in the first 20 minutes, connecting on three of six from behind the arc.
The Quakers out rebounded Case 33 to 24 in the second half and 57 to 43 in the game to hand the Spartans their second straight loss. Case junior guard Keesha Allen (Cleveland, OH), a Regina graduate, grabbed seven of her team high 11 rebounds in the last 20 minutes.
Spartan sophomore forward Andrea Haylett (Mantua, OH) and freshman guard Elizabeth Hahn (Fairport, NY) added 10 points apiece. Senior forward Tara Rausch’s (Marysville, OH) led Wilmington with a game high 20 points and 13 rebounds.
Case host Kenyon College this Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
