ALLEGHENY, PA - Case Western Reserve University senior guard Jasmine Rowan (Richmond Hts., OH) recorded team highs in points (21) and rebounds (8) as the Spartans (2-6) fell to Allegheny College (3-7) 74-80 tonight in a non conference game on the road.
The Spartans, who were out rebounded 25-19 by Allegheny in the first 20 minutes and shot just 36.4 percent (12-33) from the field, only trailed 35-36 at the intermission. Rowan would score 18 of her 21 in the last 20 minutes, including a two three throws that brought them within two, 74-76, with 34 second left, but those were their last points.
Rowan finished the game 7 of 13 from the field, including 4-6 from behind the arc. Spartan senior guard Angie Zeuch (Cincinnati, OH) added 13 points and sophomore forward Andrea Haylett (Mantua, OH) 11 in the loss. Case host Wilmington College (OH) this Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
