BETHANY, WV - Case Western Reserve University (1-5) sophomore guard Amber Hammell (Parkersburg, WV) scored a team high 18 points in her return home tonight as the Spartans fell to Bethany College (3-3) 64-82 in a tournament on the road.
Case sophomore forward Carmen Rowan (Richmond Hts., OH), a Hawken product, grabbed a team high 10 rebounds and added 11 points. Her sister, senior guard Jasmine Rowan (Richmond Hts., OH), also a Hawken graduate, added 14 points.
The Spartans, who only shot 32.7% from the field in the game, turned the ball over 20 times in the game droppinig their fifth straight. Twelve of those 20 give turnovers came in the first 20 minutes as Case trailed 33-46.
The Spartans play Washington and Jefferson College tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
