Baldwin Wallace 69, Case 57

OBERLIN, OH – Case Western Reserve University senior guard Jasmine Rowan (Richmond Hts., OH), a Hawken graduate, led two Spartans players in double digits with 12 points as Case lost to Baldwin Wallace College 69-57 in the championship game of the Greater Cleveland Tip-Off Tournament at Oberlin College.
The Spartans only shot 26.7% (8-30) from the field in the first half and were out rebounded 26-15 (45-28 in the game) as they trailed the Yellow Jackets 21-33 at the intermission. Case improved their shooting in the second half (14-29, 48.3%) and matched BW in points with 36, but it was too late.
Spartans senior guard Angie Zeuch (Cincinnati, OH) added 11 points and sophomore center Andrea Haylett (Mantua, OH) grabbed a team high six rebounds. Zeuch (2 games, 29 points) and Case freshman guard Dana Dempsey (Brooklyn, OH), a Brooklyn High graduate (2 games, 20 points), were both named to the All-Tournament team.
Case travels to Ashland University this Tuesday for a 5:30 p.m. game.
