VEALE CLASSIC ...
CLEVELAND, OH (November 9, 2007) - The 23rd-ranked Case Western Reserve University men’s swimming and diving team defeated Oberlin College (0-3) 159-61 in their first dual meet of the 2007 Veale Classic at the Veale Natatorium in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Spartans (2-1) 200-yard medley relay team of sophomore Robbie Browning (Grosse Pointe Farms, MI), junior John Somerville (Bloomfield Hills, MI-pictured), freshman Chris Marquiss (Solon, OH) and junior Brian Grady (North Canton, OH) placed first with a time of 1:40.18. 
Browning struck gold again in the 200-yard IM, finishing first with a time of 2:05.04. Junior Ben Meck (Orwigsburg, PA) won the 100-yard backstroke in a sizzling time of 58.23 and sophomore Edward McKee (Buffalo Grove, IL) placed first overall in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:06.21.
The Spartans will race in the Veale Classic championship meet against the College of Wooster (3-1) tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
