CASE TRI-MEET...
CLEVELAND, OH (November 19, 2005) - The Case Western Reserve University men’s swimming and diving team, ranked 12th in a recent CollegeSwimming.com poll, swept a home tri-meet this afternoon and one win especially was big. The Spartans topped national powerhouse Kenyon College 152-126 in the Veale Natatorium and they defeated Grove City College 162-130.
Individually, senior Pat Rodjom (Pittsburgh, PA) won two events, the 100 yard breaststroke (59.27) and the 200 yard breaststroke (2:09.15). Senior Justin Daggert (Bradford, PA) was also a first place finisher in the 500 yard freestyle (4:54.06) and freshman Seth Hazlett (Leechburg, PA) in the 100 yard butterfly (52.56). Hazlett and Rodjom, along with senior Bobby Malinoski (Pittsburgh, PA) and junior John Erickson (Massillon, OH), were members of the first place 200 yard medley relay team (1:37.27).
The Spartans are off until December 1 when they travel to the College of Wooster for their invite.
