2005 UAA CHAMPIONSHIPS ...
CHICAGO, IL (February 12, 2005) - The Case Western Reserve University men's swimming and diving team competed in the 2005 University Athletic Association Championships hosted by the University of Chicago this past weekend. The Spartans finished seventh out of eight teams with a score of 293. Emory University won the title with 882.5 points.
Day two on Friday saw the men post a third place finish in the 200 yard medley relay. The team of junior Bobby Malinoski (Verona, PA), senior John Keltz (Bradford, PA), senior Eric Frohmader (Madison, WI), and sophomore John Erickson (Massillon, OH) recorded a time of 1:35.23. Individually, Keltz finished second in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 58.26.
On Saturday, the final day of competition, Keltz recorded a third place finish in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:09.42. Case host the Veale Invitational this saturday at 11:00 a.m.
