DENISON 123, CASE 98 ...
GRANVILLE, OH (January 21, 2005) - The Case Western Reserve University men's swimming and diving team lost a dual meet at Denison University tonight 123-98. The Denison men are currently ranked second in the country (Division III).
Case sophomore John Erickson ( Massillon , OH ) won the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 22.12, senior Eric Frohmader ( Madison , WI ) the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 53.64, and junior Justin Daggett ( Bradford , PA ) the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:56.20 to lead the Spartans. Frohmader and Daggett were also members of Case's first place 200 yard freestyle relay team (1:32.35).
In diving, Spartan freshman Bernie Jacobson (Solon, OH) won the one meter with 162.83 points. Case is off until next Saturday when they travel to Wittenberg University for a 1:00 p.m. dual meet.
