CLEVELAND, OH (November 7, 2004) - The Case Western Reserve University (4th - 465 points) men swam in their second meet of the season yesterday and today at the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational in Pittsburgh . Carnegie Mellon (3rd - 683), Emory University (1st - 1,048) in Atlanta , and Johns Hopkins University (2nd - 840) in Baltimore made up the quad format.
Top finishers for the Spartans included junior Justin Daggert (Bradford, PA), senior Kevin Day (Cuyahoga Falls, OH), and sophomore John Erickson (Massillon, OH). Erickson finished fourth in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 22.15, Daggert placed seventh in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 17:17.26, and Day ninth in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 49.57.
Case travels to the Division III Quad at Eastern Michigan University November 13.
