2007 UAA CHAMPIONSHIPS...
CLEVELAND, OH (March 3, 2007) - Case Western Reserve University graduate student Stephen Hrinda (Fairview, PA) and senior Paul Hannen (Seville, OH-pictured) each won an individual University Athletic Association Championship in Boston. Case finished sixth at the 2007 UAA Championships with 53 points while Washington University (MO) won the men’s title with 113 points.
Hrinda won the 5,000-meter run (14:59.01) and Hannen finished first in the weight throw (15.59 meters) and also placed second in the shot put (14.05 meters). Spartan sophomore Derrick Moore (Cleveland, OH) placed second in the high jump (1.85 meters) and junior David Jeffries (Nordonia, OH) finished second in the weight throw (15.21 meters).
The 2007 NCAA Division III Championships will be held March 9-10 at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
