CASE INVITATIONAL...
CLEVELAND, OH (February 2, 2007) - Case Western Reserve University freshman Obinna Nwanna (Maumee, OH) won the high jump and senior Stephen Hrinda (Fairview, PA-pictured) placed first in the 3000-meter run to help the Case men’s indoor track and field team to a third place (72 points) finish at the Case Invitational late Friday night in the Veale Center.
Allegheny College won the team title with a score of 104 points. Case will travel to the Oberlin College Invitational on February 9.
Hrinda posted at time of 8:45.47 and Nwanna hit a mark of 1.86 meters. Junior David Jeffries (Nordonia, OH) placed second in the shot put (14.13m) and senior Pat Benasutti (Ludlow Falls, OH) was the runner-up in the weight throw (15.04m)
The Spartans also won the men’s distance medley (10:49).
