SPARTAN RELAYS...
CLEVELAND, OH (January 27, 2007) - The Case Western Reserve University men won the Spartan Relays today in the Veale Center. Case tallied 91 points and Notre Dame College finished second with a score of 82.
The Spartans took the top five spots in the 5000 meters. Sophomore Ryan Gjoraas (Plymouth, MN-pictured) placed first with a time of 15:52.57 and sophomore Mike Petro (Cincinnati, OH) finished second with a time of 16:02.49.
Case also had a couple second-place finishes. Sophomore Derrick Moore (Cleveland, OH) was the runner-up in the high jump (1.83 meters) and senior Pat Benasutti (Ludlow Falls, OH) finished second in the weight throw (14.09 meters).
The Spartans will host the Case Invitational Friday at 6:00 p.m.
