CASE INVITATIONAL...
CLEVELAND, OH (February 4, 2006) - The Case Western Reserve University men’s track and field team finished second out of 10 teams at the Case Invitational late last night in the Veale Center. The Spartans scored 78 points compared to Allegheny College, who came out on top with 135.50.
The men’s 4x400 relay team made up of senior Chris Molnar (Cincinnati, OH), junior Chris Anderson (Centerville, VA), junior Axel Riemer ( Ogdensburg , WI), and freshman Derrick Moore (Cleveland, OH) won their race in a time 3:31.45. Individually, Ryan Gjoraas and freshman Mike Petro (Cincinnati, OH) finished second and third in the 3000 meter run with times of 9:13.06 and 9:13.38.
In field events, senior Alex Drollinger (Lodi, OH) finished third in both the weight throw (14.18 meters) and shot put (14.18 meters). The Spartans next travel to the Oberlin College Invitational February 10 at 6:00 p.m.
