GREATER CLEVELAND COLLEGES CHAMPIONSHIP...
BEREA, OH (February 18, 2005) - At the Greater Cleveland Colleges Championship, the Case Western Reserve University men's indoor track and field team finished third overall out of the six competing colleges from the greater Cleveland area. John Carroll University claimed the men's team title with 133 points, compared to 72 for Case.
Junior Devin Harris (Columbus, OH) recorded the only individual first place finish for Case as he won the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.05. Taking home second place finishes for the Spartans were Anthony Falter (Alden, NY) in the 200 meter dash (24.23), Chris Anderson (Centerville, VA) in the 800 meter run (2:01.80), Trevor Isle (Orono, MI) in the 55 meter hurdles (8.14), and claiming second in the triple jump with a leap of 39'-10 3/4" was Patrick Fiduccia (Rochester, NY).
Garnering third place finishes for Case were Stephen Hrinda (Fairview, PA) in the one mile run (4:35.45), Chris Molnar (Cincinnati, OH) in the 800 meter run (2:02.90), and Alex Drollinger (Lodi, OH) with a heave of 43'-9 1/4" in the weight throw.
Case will compete in the UAA Championships next Friday and Saturday February 25-26 held at New York University.
