CASE 78, ADRIAN 68...
CLEVELAND, OH (November 24, 2007) - Case Western Reserve University had five players score in double figures as it defeated visiting Adrian College, 78-68, in the second game of the Bill Sudeck Holiday Classic at the Veale Center.
Catholic University topped Mount Union College in game one, 80-74, setting up the championship game between the Spartans and Catholic at 4:00 p.m. tomorrow. Mount Union will face Adrian at 2:00 p.m.
Adrian [2-1] jumped out to an early 11-4 lead five minutes into the game, but the Spartans battled back and took an 11-point lead, 31-20, with a layup by senior center Mason Conrad (Tarpon Springs, FL) with four minutes remaining in the first half.
Case Western Reserve, who shot 50 percent from the field in the first half and led 35-29 at the break, shot a whopping 57.7 percent from the floor in the last 20 minutes and never trailed by less than seven points in the last five minutes of the game.
Senior guard Brandon Bradford (Detroit, MI-pictured) led Case Western Reserve with 17 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Conrad added 15 points and nine rebounds. Ryan Gallus had a game-high 25 points for Adrian.
