Wittenberg 72, Case 62
SPRINGFIELD, OH - Case Western Reserve University (2-6) had three players score in double digits tonight led by sophomore forward Carson Oren's (South Bend, IN) game high 21 points, but fell to Wittenberg University (7-3) 62-72 on the road. It was the Spartans first game since December 6.
Case shot 52 percent (13-25) from the field in the first half as they only trialed Wittenberg by four, 33-37, at the break. Oren dropped in 15 of his 21 in the first 20 minutes. The Spartans cooled off in the second half only hitting 11-28 from the field (39.3%) to drop the non conference game.
Case sophomore guard Funso Lafe (Chesterland, OH) added 17 points and sophomore guard Richard Mullen (Columbus, OH) 11. Junior center Dave Lenzer (North Canton, OH) grabbed a team high seven rebounds.
The Spartans host Ohio Wesleyan University Monday night at 7:30 p.m.
