HERRING NAMED TOP UAA ROOKIE...
Case Western Reserve University freshman guard Kevin Herring (Blacklick, OH) has been named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Rookie of the Year. On the women's side, Spartan sophomore guard Ashleigh Tondo (McDonald, OH) also brought home a big honor, as she was named to the All-UAA First Team. The announcement was made by the league office.

BASKETBALL'S CONRAD NAMED ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT...
Case Western Reserve University men's basketball center Mason Conrad (Tarpon Springs, FL) has been named to the CoSIDA/ ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District (IV) first team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). This is Conrad's third selection as he also was honored in 2006 & 2007.

Men's Basketball
Spartans end 2007-08 season with a victory over Emory...
...Senior's Mason Conrad and Brandon Bradford both shined in their final game for the Spartans, as the team registered a 96-93 victory over Emory in the season finale for both teams.
...Conrad led the Spartans with 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting, while Bradford pitched in 16 points and seven assists in his final game.
