CASE 6, WOOSTER 3...
CLEVELAND, OH (April 7, 2008) - The Case Western Reserve University women’s tennis team snapped a seven-game losing streak this evening in Wooster, Ohio as it topped the Fighting Scots 6-3 to improve to 2-7 on the year. The Spartans will next face Tiffin University on April 14.
Sophomore Kristin Ko (Cincinnati, OH-pictured) and junior Marta Worwag (Granville, OH) picked-up two wins a piece in the non-conference match. Ko defeated Elissa Lauber 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and Worwag beat Brenna Hart 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. The two then team-up to hand Lauber and Hart 9-8 (7-3) loss at No. 1 doubles.
Case Western Reserve also won at No. 5 and No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
