CLEVELAND, OH (March 7, 2008) - The Case Western Reserve University women’s tennis team lost 9-0 to Oberlin College late last night in a non-conference match in Oberlin, Ohio. The Spartans fall to 1-3 on the season and will host John Carroll University on March 19 at 3:30 p.m.
Junior No. 2 Marta Worwag (Granville, OH-pictured) and sophomore No. 5 Jennifer Clever (Ashland, OH) gave their opponents everything they could handle in singles play. Worwag lost to Oberlin’s Jackie Golden 7-5, 7-5, while Clever lost 7-5, 6-4 to Kelly Sipp of Oberlin.
Worwag and sophomore No. 1 Kristen Ko (Cincinnati, OH) also had a close match in No. 1 doubles., losing 8-5 to Golden and Sipp.
