ALLIANCE, OH (April 9, 2005) - The Case Western Reserve women's outdoor track and field team competed at the Mount Union Invitational this afternoon.
Cassi Armstrong (Cleveland, OH) had the lone first place finish for the Spartans as she took the top spot in the women's shot put with a toss of 39' 1-1/4". Emily Bruckner (Fairview, NC) also had a big day for Case as she took home two third place finishes in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. In the 5,000 meter run, the Spartans' Lillian Pinault (Fair Haven, NJ) took the third place spot. Also running well for Case were Harmonie Foster (Bedford Heights, OH) who had a fourth place finish in the 400 meter run while Esther Erb (Richmond, VA) also took a fourth in the 1,500 meter run.
Case will compete again next Saturday, April 16 at the All-Ohio Championship Meet at Ohio Wesleyan University.
