CASE 9, ALBION 7...
CLEVELAND, OH (April 27, 2008) – Freshman shortstop Beth Andrasik (Sagamore Hills, OH-pictured) went four-for-four in leading the Spartans to a 9-7 victory over Albion College in game one of a doubleheader today in Albion, Mich. Andrasik also scored three runs and had an RBI.
After an Albion four-run first inning, Case Western Reserve answered with two in the second and five in the fourth to take the lead. The Spartans had 14 hits in the game as senior outfielder Lauren Seeds (Pickerington, OH) went three-for-five with a run scored and three RBIs.
Senior pitcher Ruthe Sagartz (Albuquerque, NM) picked-up the win for Case Western Reserve. Sagartz allowed six earned runs on 12 hits while striking out five.
