CALVIN 5, CASE 4...
CLEVELAND, OH (April 26, 2008) – Calvin College defeated Case Western Reserve University 5-4 in game two of a doubleheader today in Kentwood, Mich. Calvin (12-23) exploded for five runs in the bottom of the fourth and the Spartans scored four in the top of the fifth.
Case Western Reserve, who falls to 13-29 on the season, will travel to Albion College tomorrow for a doubleheader at 12:00 p.m
Five different Spartans had a hit in game two, led by freshman first baseman Anneliese Fetterman (Cupertino, CA-pictured), who went one-for-four with a run scored and three RBIs. Case Western Reserve freshman pitcher Teddi Jacobson (Solon, OH) picked-up the loss. Jacobson allowed five runs [three earned] on six hits in three innings.
