CASE 4, OHIO WESLEYAN 2...
CLEVELAND, OH (March 30, 2008) – A three-for-four performance from sophomore catcher Chelsae Poelking (Brecksville, OH-pictured) helped lead Case Western Reserve University to a 4-2 game one [of a double header] victory at Ohio Wesleyan University today.
Spartan junior pitcher Ruth Sagartz (Albuquerque, NM) picked-up the win. Sagartz struck out six batters in seven innings of work. Ohio Wesleyan (4-11) led 2-0 at the end of three, but Case Western Reserve (8-11) scored one run in the fourth and three in the sixth to snap a two game losing streak.
Poelking also scored a run and added an RBI. Senior centerfielder Lauren Seeds (Pickerington, OH) went one-for-three with two runs scored.
