WITTENBERG 4, CASE 1...

CLEVELAND, OH (March 29, 2008) – The Case Western Reserve University softball team could not recover from a Wittenberg University three-run first as the Spartans fell to the Tigers 4-1 in the second game of a doubleheader in Springfield, Ohio.
Case Western Reserve drops to 7-10 on the season and will face Ohio Wesleyan University tomorrow in doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Spartan freshman pitcher Teddi Jacobson (Solon, OH) went the distance in the loss, allowing only five hits while striking out four. Case out hit Wittenberg seven-to-five.
Sophomore leftfielder Katie Svilar (Orange, OH-pictured) went two-for-four with an RBI to lead the offense.
