WASHINGTON 6, CASE 4...

CLEVELAND, OH (March 14, 2008) – The Case Western Reserve University softball team lost a tough one today in Altamonte Springs, Fla., as three runs by Washington University (Mo.) in the top of the ninth paved the way for a 6-4 victory for the Bears.
The Spartans will play their final game of the 2008 University Athletic Association Softball Championships tomorrow when they take on the Eagles from Emory University at 12:30 p.m.
The Spartans (6-9, 0-7 UAA) jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the first, as a three-run homer by freshman Teddi Jacobson (Solon, OH-pictured) gave Case Western Reserve a 3-0 advantage. The Spartans would tack on one more in the inning to make it a 4-0 game.
