BRANDEIS 6, CASE 3...
CLEVELAND, OH (March 13, 2008) – Case Western Reserve University freshman infielder Beth Andrasik (Sagamore Hills, OH-pictured) went two-for-three with two RBIs, but the Spartans fell to Brandeis University 6-3 at the University Athletic Association Softball Championship in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
Andrasik drove in two of the Spartans three runs in the bottom of the sixth, but the Judges scored four in the fourth and added two in the fifth to hand Case Western Reserve (6-7) its fifth consecutive UAA loss. Sophomore outfielder Katie Svilar (Orange Village, OH) went two-for-four, with a run scored for the Spartans.
Freshman pitcher Teddi Jacobson (Solon, OH) received the loss. Jacobson allowed four hits and four runs in three innings of work.
Case Western Reserve faces the University of Rochester at 10:00 a.m. Friday.
