CENTRE COLLEGE TOURNAMENT...
CLEVELAND, OH (March 2, 2008) – The Case Western Reserve University softball team improved to 2-2 on the year today at the Centre College Tournament. The Spartans lost to Maryville College 8-0 in game one and defeated Oberlin College 8-0 in their final game in Kentucky.
Senior Lauren Seeds (Pickerington, OH-pictured) went one-for-one with a double and two walks to lead the Spartans in game one. Against Oberlin, freshman pitcher Teddi Jacobson (Solon, OH) picked up her second win of the weekend and also went three-for-three with four RBIs. Sophomore Chelsae Poelking (Brecksville, OH) went one-for-two with three runs scored in game two.
Case Western Reserve will next play in Chain of Lakes, Florida March 8-9. After that, the Spartans will play in the UAA Championships March 11-15 in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
