CASE 13,OTTERBEIN 4...
CLEVELAND, OH (April 9, 2007)–Case Western Reserve University defeated Otterbein College 13-4. The Spartans bats came out blazing scoring eight runs in the second inning. Freshman Chelsea Poelking (Brecksville, OH) had a huge game. Poelking hit a homerun, and a double en route to going 4-4 with four runs scored, and four RBIs.
Four other Spartans, senior Carrie Casden (Worthington, OH), junior Amanda Bell (Carrol , OH), sophomore Angel Rice (Brunswick, OH), and sophomore Ruth Sagartz (Albuquerque, NM-pictured), drove in at least two runs.
On the mound Sagartz only allowed one earned run, and struck out seven in five innings of work.
