CASE 3, ALBION 0...
CLEVELAND, OH (March 25, 2007) –The Spartans won the second game of the double header against Albion College 3-0. Sophomore Ruth Sagartz (Albuquerque , NM) pitched the second shutout of the day. Sagartz struck out seven batters and only allowed five base runners.
Case scored in the first when junior Amanda Bell (Carroll, OH) doubled in senior Carrie Casden (Worthington, OH) who had reached on a single earlier that inning.
The Spartans would score their final two runs in the sixth inning when freshman leftfielder Katie Svilar (Orange Village, OH) and Carrie Casden hit back to back doubles. Svilar scored on Casden's double, and Casden scored on Senior Courtney Geib's (Denver, CO) two out single to leftfield.
The Spartans will be back in action March 28 at home against Hiram College.
