CLEVELAND, OH (March 25, 2007) –The Spartans won the first game of the double header 2-0. Junior Amanda Bell (Carroll, OH-Pictured) pitched seven innings of shutout softball, striking out four and only walking one batter.
In the fourth inning junior catcher Jen Bullen (Willoughby, OH) and pitcher Amanda Bell both reached base on singles. Sophomore shortstop Angel Rice (Brunswick, OH) drove in both players with a double to left center. The 2-0 lead would end up being all the runs Case would need.
