EMORY 3, CASE 1...
CLEVELAND, OH (March 16, 2007) – Case Western Reserve University junior pitcher Amanda Bell (Carroll, OH-pictured) went one-for-three, with a run scored, and an RBI today in the Spartans 3-1 loss to Emory University at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship Tournament in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
Bell, who homered to right center in the sixth inning, pitched a complete game, allowing sevens hits. Emory scored two in the first and one in the fifth to top Case (3-4, 1-4 UAA). The Spartans face the University of Rochester at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow and Brandeis University at 12:30 p.m.
