CLEVELAND, OH (March 15, 2007) – Brandeis University used a five-run fifth inning to top Case Western Reserve University 5-1 this afternoon in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
Case will play Emory University (10:00 a.m.) and Washington University (12:30 p.m.) tomorrow at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship Tournament.
Spartans’ (3-3, 1-3 UAA) junior pitcher Amanda Bell (Carroll, OH-pictured) struck out seven and only walked one batter in the loss. Junior catcher Jen Bullen (Willoughby, OH) went two-for-three and senior infielder Courtney Geib (Denver, CO) knocked in the team’s lone run.
