CASE 3, RIPON 2...
COCOA BEACH , FL (March 12, 2006) – Case Western Reserve University scored three runs in the eighth inning and Ripon College only two as the Spartans improved to 3-0 in Florida. Case left 11 runners on base, but walked away with the victory.
Spartan sophomore pitcher Amanda Bell (Carroll, OH) picked up the win on the mound for Case going the distance. Bell allowed seven hits and struck out four. She also went 2-4 from the plate with a run scored.
Spartans senior Kristin Courtney (Dayton, OH) - pictured and sophomore Jen Bullen (Willoughby, OH) also went 1-4 with a run scored on the day.
