W&J 11 , CASE 3 & W&J 6, CASE 2 ...
CLEVELAND, OH (April 16, 2005) – Case Western Reserve University sophomore shortstop Leah Shook (Poughkeepsie, NY) went 2 for 6 with 2 runs batted in as the Spartans dropped a pair of games to visiting Washington & Jefferson College on Saturday afternoon.
Case lost game one 11-3 and game two 6-2. Freshman pitcher Amanda Bell (Carroll, OH) picked up the loss in the first game, going 2.2 innings, allowing eight hits and eight runs. Spartan senior pitcher Jackie Rutherford (LaBelle, PA) lost game two, throwing 2.2 innings, giving up five hits and five runs.
Case freshman centerfielder Lauren Seeds (Pickerington, OH) went 2 for 5 on the day with 2 runs scored. The Spartans face Denison University in Sunday at 12:00 p.m. (DH).
