URSULINE 1, CASE 0 ...
PEPPER PIKE, OH (April 12, 2005) – Case Western Reserve freshman pitcher Amanda Bell (Carroll, OH) gave up just two hits and one unearned run in a 1-0 loss to Ursuline College.
Bell pitched a great game as she allowed just one walk while striking out three batters in six innings. The Spartans offense supplied just five hits, but weren't able to get any runs on the scoreboard. Recording one hit apiece for Case were Lauren Seeds (Pickerington, OH), Carrie Casden (Worthington, OH), Leah Shook (Poughkeepsie, NY), Kerry Hunsicker (Wadsworth, OH), and Bell.
Ursuline pitcher Dana Armbruster allowed just five hits and three walks in pitching the shutout. Case has now lost four in a row and stands at 6-22 overall while Ursuline evened 13-13.
