URSULINE 4, CASE 1 ...
PEPPER PIKE, OH (April 12, 2005) – Urusline College limited the Case Western Reserve Spartans to just two hits as the Arrows defeated Case 4-1 this afternoon.
Ursuline scored all four of their runs in the bottom on the second inning while Case got on the scoreboard with a run in fourth inning. Carrie Casden (Worthington, OH) and Leah Shook (Poughkeepsie, NY) recorded the only hits for the Spartans. Shook scored the only Case run, which was unearned.
Jackie Rutherford (LaBelle, PA) went the distance on the mound for Case. Rutherford gave up three earned runs (1 unearned) on seven hits in six innings of work.
The loss dropped the Spartans to 6-21 while Ursuline improved to 13-12.
